Duff is a really good writer and knows how to tell a compelling story. Looking forward to this book for sure.

True, but right now he seems to be on Axl's goodside, and don't think he and Slash are seeing eye-to-eye on VR. Duff would never let on, but I think Slash burying VR, like a baby, because he wanted Myles and no one else did kinda went over like an egg-laden fart w/ Duff.
But in Slash's defense, Duff also admitted those Queen-like after parties, weren't considered very rock n' roll by the Seattle crowd.

I also want to say that Slash & Duff christening GNR's new jet, by partaking in crack smoking, is the definitive definition of those guys as rockers and people.
You can take street/gutter rats and put them in a jet and Led Zeppelin the whole thing, BUT they're still street rats.
I still think it was kinda cool that Slash & Duff were rolling cheap still, despite all the luxeries. Even during those 1993 interviews with them and Gilby, they still seemed pretty humble, while Axl was trying to do his best Elton John-impression, while in shorts & Converse.

I think Duff's book will be a great read but I don't expect anyone to get their ass handed to them in it. Duff does not seem to have scores to settle.
I think him and Slash may have had a disagreement over Myles in VR alright but then again, if Slash ain't hearing what was there why should he bother?
He may be wrong, but its his choice.

I'm also really looking forward to Duff's book.
Sure, people might not "get their ass handed to them", but Duff seems like a tell-it like-it-really-was kinda guy. That in itself might be cause for a juicy n' interesting read!
Don't think you need to have scores to settle in order to raise eyebrows in writing about GNR!
Off topic:
Don't know how many of you have read Eddie Trunk's book. I just got it. There's a guy who's not afraid to speak his mind. I think some of the stuff he wrote might cause Axl to avoid him from now on...
His memories of the Axl interview and the following night on the town was a fun read!
