But..I've never understood his love for Mean Bone, Speed Parade and Been There Lately. Especially the first two are among his worst works. Shine, Serial Killer, Ain't Life Grand... these are the gems (what gems, the Koh-I-Noors!) of that album. I prefer Snakepit I though... Neither Can I, Beggars, Good To Be Alive, Be The Ball, Back and Forth... well, some of my all time favourite songs, yet he barely plays them.

Yeah, Mean Bone is lame. Musically it's not bad, but the lyrics just reek of cheese.

I reckon Speed Parade is kinda special to Slash, as I remember him mentioning that was one of the songs he presented to GN'R before he left.
Could you imagine Axl wailing over that music... 11

Would love to hear Dime Store Rock or Good To Be Alive by the current live band.

I don't even know if i'd purchase a new Guns DVD of the 2009-11 band at this point.

The bootlegs haven't really transferred the power of the band imho.

^ Dude...what are you saying. There's no live dvd of any band that captures the real chrisma of guys like Slash and Axl live...but these vids will still rock.

The problem with new gnr to me is the lack of a good proshot video...bootlegs suck...when you see a semi proshot thing it's instantly a lot cooler...

This slash video will rock.

I'd have a tendency to believe that. The 2006 GN'R shows were alot better in person, than YouTube vids.

As for GN'R, Ritz '88 did a pretty damn good job of transferring them. A fuck up of drug addicts and street urchins, kicking 10 tons of ass on stage, then stammering off at the end for a cigarette and a couple bumps.
