Re: Post your favourite fookin' GNR songs and tell us why!
Definitly one of my favorites from the Illusion era and hugely underrated in my opinion. Yet another song that suffered as a single by being released way too late. In my opinion this is Gn'R's most classic sounding rock n' roll song. It's got that great pop rock vibe to it but still has balls. Should've been released as a third single in my opinion after YCBM and Don't Cry. I believe had it been the 2nd rocker single from the Illusion albums it'd still be a mainstay on radio today and based on it's length and pop rock vibe even more so than what YCBM is. It would fit so well along side the big three from AFD.

I hate that part live. Sounds so juvenille. Reaks of the lame rant in Get in the Ring with all the excessive, pointless cursing and bravado. I don't don't know "with your ass in the air" just sounds stupid to me.
always thought it was in homage to "panties 'round your knees with your ass in debris" (which is also an awesome fucking lyric )
Re: Post your favourite fookin' GNR songs and tell us why!
Since we're posting awesome lyric snippets too, I'll join in with somethign I've said elsewhere: the removal of "Like if your ass was your head you could tell" from the final CD is a travesty. It was classic Axl- hilarious and angry at the same time. Even though some of the studio rants (GITR, KOHD) are over the top and cheesy, the man is a master at turns of phrase.
Axl introduced my young self to the phrase "Suck my ass." (Another HILARIOUS one, considering the next line "I think YOU'RE so low class.)

My brother gets really angry about the "with your ass in the air" line. But I discount his opinion because he also doesn't like "...he's been knockin', motherfucker, motherfucker won't leave me alone"
Is your bro a prude or something? WTF?

Oh no. He has a degree in "The F Word" the same as I do. We argue about it every time we're watching bootlegs and stuff. He just doesn't like it and I don't get it.
I think I'll let him slide though. He's FAR more talented with music than I could ever hope to be. He used to play in a 3 piece band where he played guitar and sang at the same time. They used to do Welcome To The Jungle in standard tuning (so half a step higher then it's recorded) and he would play both guitar parts and sing it at the same time.

edit: anyone know a good site I can put that on so you guys can just listen to it online without having to download it if you want?
I think 4shared has streaming and downloading. Anyway, WTF is wrong with your bro? I love the live alterations of Brownstone.
