Plus he was never a writer. He's a vocalist, a performer. That's it.

It would be really hard for Bach to 'buckle down', and just hammer out classic albums

Even with someone like Desmond Child backing him, he's not gonna re-capture that Slave To The Grind-era success. Skid Row was just right place, right time, in those days. A fucking Winger album could practically go #1 on Billboard.

Yeah..it's different times for rock music these days.

I personally think that Angel Down was as good as any skid row, songwriting wise, and even in peformance, I think he's pretty much as good as ever if not better....but these days that whole style is a nieche thing and not mainstream like it was in the 80s.

I think Baz would be better served, especially with Frontiers Records, just going back to Skid '88 and recording melodic metal songs for the melodic/AOR niche market, which is what Frontiers is known for.

At least it would give Baz a home where he's loved and his audience is dedicated.

I think the real problem is, Baz would never settle for that. In his mind he was as successful as Axl Rose. He deserves to have that kind of superstardom.

Even Axl has had to scale it back in recent years. Not to the extreme of most of his peers, but that's only because he has that GN'R brand name in his back pocket.

Plus anytime Baz's sales dip a tad, he jumps on the "internet piracy" thing, which makes him look like a total douche.

Baz is not NEAR popular enough to have bad sales due to internet piracy. He sounds like a cranky old man when he runs off about that. You either deal with it, and move on, or STFU. But bitching about it in 2011... get over it or quit... it ain't changin'.

I hope Baz doesn't forget that he had Axl guest appear on his last album too, which may also be a big contributing factor to the few sales he did get. He doesn't have that this time.

But I agree with Monkey, Angel Down was as good to my ears as anything he put out with Skid Row, so maybe this next one will be pretty good too.

Oh, and that image of him posted looks really gay, not that there's anything wrong with that...! 16
