I did like when Obama was asked his opinion on the republicans being questioned "What do you think of Barack Obama as potential Democratic nominee" (and all the republicans gave their response) Obama replied "I gotta be honest with you, I was flipping back & forth between the republicans and football" 16 16

Make fun of Paul all you want and his "wacky" ideas but he speaks the truth so well. I wish more people would just wake up and realize the rest of the GOP candidates are the scary wackos... not Ron.

His campaign is now sunk. His hardcore supporters are pissed at his response to the "9/11 truth movement" question last night during the debate, so money is going to dry up for his campaign.

Note to politicians....

Don't piss off the people funding your campaign.

Jack, he has a few good ideas. I don't think many people will deny that. He's also a good public speaker. But he's just too fanatical. Anyone willing to abolish the CIA, public schools, etc. will never get my vote, regardless of their stance on a few other positions.

Yeah James, he wants to dismantle the CIA but he still believes the nation needs to gather intelligence and would replace it with a smaller agency.

He believes that public schools should be managed by the states, and for the most part they already are.

He wants to quit supporting dictators and promotes peace and free trade...

He is against the REAL ID act which is pretty much a national ID card that is most likely going to pass through congress...

I don't know about any 9/11 truther backlash occurring, and I would be pretty surprised if there was because I don't think anyone thought Ron Paul believed those things even they themselves did. I think the "truthers" are a much smaller part of Ron's campaign than they are made out to be.

And for someone who seemed very concerned about the US dollar and China, don't you think this candidate is the one who is speaking the truth? He is not afraid to say, like you have, that the US is looking at a huge economic problem if we do not do something radical soon.

And can people argue that Paul isn't doing what politicians are supposed to do? Follow the constitution?

EDIT: He has made $446,895.69 in this week alone so I think he can keep pushing into other states. I am actually going to precinct walk for him later this week and try and get my community aware. I know he doesnt stand a huge chance, or maybe any chance, but to me Paul isn't another Reagan, he's a new age Thomas Jefferson. It's important not to let apathy stop us from standing up for what seems right. Win or lose I am glad I got to support Paul and that he refuses to get pushed out of the way even when "everyone" has told him to lie down and die in this race.

Yeah, his stance on the Fed and China is the only reason I considered him credible. He should have kept hammering that point while he had a chance to do so. It could have turned into a major issue in this election.

Jack, the "9/11 truthers" played a HUGE role in his campaign, whether he agrees with them or not. They donated shitloads to his campaign, he gave them interviews, and they gave him loads of free publicity on their sites that get millions of hits a month.

Now he is turning his back on them. It wasn't a smart move. I know he wanted to distance himself from those people, but when you are not a mainstream candidate, you cant bite the hand that is feeding you.

That would be like all you guys donating money to me to keep this site afloat, and at the last minute I tell you GNR sucks and I never liked them. I doubt you would keep giving me donations.

I really would be surprised if they were the ones donating most of the money. However, I respect that assertion. I just don't know for sure who is donating all the money. All the people I've seen have been average Americans.

I guess we'll see if he starts getting less donations, but I would be very very surprised.
