What inspired you to do the Black Out?

How can gnrevolution.com help you with raising donations for the flood relief?

Would you be open to recording some acoustic, instrumental GNR covers for fans? Say for every $1000 raised by gnrevo would you pledge to post an acoustic recording of a gnr song? Nothing too grandiose of course, just a higher quality recording of what you performed for fans outside the hotel in Rio wink

If fans could remix your instrumentals with the Rock Band Multitracks of Axls vocals we'd have some killer acoustic tunes to share and talk about big_smile

Brilliant idea, I just wonder if he'd have some legal issues with official releases of Guns N' Roses instrumentals that weren't written by him.

So he can cover John Lennon, but he can't cover the band that he's a member of?

I would be interested to know what his thoughts were on the whole Dublin gig situation in the 02 arena 2010 and if the few idiots that were there make him think twice about wanting to return.

i would be surprised if Axl ever performed Dublin again..
i mean stranger things have happened & i'm sure bridges are easily enough repaired if the price is right..
but that was a fucked up evening.. especially after the high of the gig the night before..
dublin crowds are the worst on the entire island..
i'd maybe ask him if i could get a refund since i was told to go the fuck home..

i'd like to ask ron about the writing/recording set up in GnR & if there is any hope this touring band will be writing and releasing music any time this decade??

and what he meant about axl's 25-year vision? that sounded a little preposterous to me.. did this vision, when initially envisaged, include: being blackballed by US tour operators/not touring the US; three or four line-up changes (i'm being conservative & polite with that estimate btw); singles that never actually got released; a complete reluctance to release anything...
i guess my point is how can he believe in some 25 year vision when it's all been one big mess since 1993?! like there's been some overarching masterplan & eventually one morning everyone will awake to some transcendant gnr sound & it'll dawn on everyone like the holy ghost descending "omg axl was right all along!" how can someone in the band really believe in that?? even someone as fresh as bumble has been through enough WTF random bad moments in GnR to have figured this 25-year vision is the skittery indecision of a frustrated little kid??

sorry for the rant..

were/are there any plans to release blu-ray concerts/documentaries?
is there concert film sitting in the vaults?

were his recording sessions for CDI videotaped at all? like was there a [massively long] making of CD documentary ever recorded/attempted/made?? (like footage of bucket in the chicken coop.. maybe while watching porn.. that sorta thing)

the only lead singers of bands that have anything resembling a 25 year vision are Jagger, Bono, Osbourne, Hetfield and maybe Kenedis.

I thought the 25 year vision remark was said in jest.  Not to be taken seriously.  Just my take.

Well, if you consider the itchy apparatus of a no-nonsense approach, it would become obvious that the timing is impeccable.  They just gotta go out and get it.  It's like the wise tree prose:  without hard bark, it doesn't matter, because it's the rings that count.

So, honestly I think it is doable, imo, they can pull it off, I say.
