I think Ron should have stayed clear of all the MSL talk though. I get what he's saying - he doesn't know what's in Axl's emails and he's probably been asked not to discuss it - but people will just read into that what they want and some of them already are.

Maybe you can set up a page on JustGiving for everybody to make donations too?
Another idea, maybe make some sort of iPhone app where the proceeds go towards the cause? It could be like some sort of Bumbleicious all-in-one guitar teaching tool with a tuner, chord/scale charts and maybe play a-long transcriptions of some of your songs/GNR/other Bald Freak artists.
Looked into JustGiving but they require a setup fee, like $600 -ish I think. Was a bit steep for what may have been a one-time use.

I think band members like Ron could drop in at this site with no problems. There would definitely be less shit thrown by children compared to what he gets at a site like mygnr.
I doubt Axl would come here though. This site isn't under their thumb so it could be a bit like the Wild West for him. That said the quality of poster here should mean that isn't a problem. Although all the dickhead drop ins that might sign up while any chat is going on would be another story.

I just think a lot of people tend to forget that ALL of these people are human beings. I realize that being a GNR fan is a vicious circle, to state the least. We get rabid for information because there's precious little that flows out. When we DO get information we cling to it like a life preserver thrown into the middle of the Baltic during an ice storm. Then when the info doesn't pan out (for plenty of reasons we can think of, probably 10,000 more that we can't) we get upset and begin to get back into the cycle of demanding info / news / etc.
What's so fascinating is that obviously, Axl doesn't always make it easy to claim "I'm a GNR fan" and say it with pride. Yet - one of the reasons that many of us ARE fans is the fact that this band doesn't function like any others that we know of. It is the mystery / enigma / curiosities about it that keep so many of us coming back. The music is excellent - yes (and I"m not about to get into a line up argument.. I've seen both primary line-ups 4x each and they each have their merits) - and it has evolved into something that isn't classic 80's / 90's Guns, and yet, it is. Its truly a fascinating thing to see.
Like I said, all these guys are Humans - Ron, Axl, Frank, Tommy, Richard, Bucket, Slash, Steven, Duff, Ashba, etc.. (no semblance to the order I listed them in, so please don't read into it) - hell, even the Roadies who set up the gear and work security in the arenas are humans, probably decent people, might have families - their own trials and tribulations, etc. Yet we (and i've been responsible for it, myself) presume that we know what someone is thinking or why they're acting a certain way.
Remember - even the best reality TV is edited in a way to skew the way your mind perceives the situations / conflicts therein. Its done that way on purpose.
If every single one of these emails that MSL has leaks - if every fact and figure and detail are laid bare for everyone's eyes - it doesn't make the fundamentals different. They are all humans - they are all flawed - They are all ALLOWED to have flaws. As are all of us. Name me one person that is perfect and I'll show you the most boring person in the world - as that person has nothing to learn and nothing to strive for - and, that, to me, makes for a very 'blah' person.
Remember guys (and girls) its not the easy challenges in life that help us to grow as people - its the complex ones. No one said it was easy - every single one of us has things and situations we deal with daily - just please keep that in mind when you start dissecting these guys based upon a few choice words or emails or whatever.
I still wish the aliens would just land already and give us 'bigger fish to fry' as a society, as it were, than bickering constantly over 'omg who played that solo better!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?' - It gets a little silly after a while. However - in an infinite universe like ours, I suppose there will be infinite debates to have.

Hey Ron, I have recently been having belly (abdominal) pain. The pain feels like indigestion or like I need to have a bowel movement or pass gas. I feel the first pain near my belly button. Then it moves to the lower right side of my belly. But the pain can be in different parts of my belly or even on your side. The pain sometimes gets worse if I move, walk, or cough. I also have a fever and feel sick to my stomach. My doctor told me it was an appendicitis, but I wanted a second opinion. What do think?

I think if we ever got any type of q&a with Axl it would be like what we did with Ron. Which was really cool of him. Anyone got Axl or beta's email, PM it to me and I'll hook that shit up 
GNR (Axl) created the fucking crazies, and now his crazies are taking their craziness out on the band.
No one has any impact on those posters being douchebag assholes other than themselves. They are what they are with no help from anyone else. And a lot of the people doing it are not Axl fans.
