Re: Velvet Revolver's Matt Sorum Remembers Early Days, Looks Forward
^ I've just not been able to get into him. Maybe I should try harder. All i've really heard is some old rappy stuff, and then of course that song that seemed to be a cover of Sweet Home Alabama mixed with Wherewolves of London....

Re: Velvet Revolver's Matt Sorum Remembers Early Days, Looks Forward
Baz is a step back. Intellectually the man lacks by quite a ways. That will feed into crap lyrics and predictible vocal styles. He's washed up when compared to his peers and belongs in the Ratt, Cinderella frame of reference these days.
Matt & Duff were smart enough to recognise that his 'brand' is tired and not embraced by the mainstream anymore and declare publically that he didn't interest them.
I think the band need a rock vocalist that has modern props, Mike Patton, Chris Cornell, Brandon Boyd, Mark Lanegan, Chris Robinson.. those dudes will bring the young and curious and not the old and mullet headed!!
