#1 Re: GN'R Downloads » Guns N' Roses and Faster Pussycat 10-4-87 » 814 weeks ago
Speaking of Faster Pussycat I just purchased a greatest hits cd.
These guys are excellent. I remembered when they came out and I heard a few songs of them. Straight forward hard-rock & roll. The singer sounds like Steven Tyler in his early days.
Track list:
Poison Ivy
Nonstop to nowhere
Cathouse
Slip of the Tongue
Where there's a whip there's a way
Don't change that song
Bathroom Wall
Bottle in Front of Me
You're so Vain
House of Pain
check out their self-titled debut album. pretty f'n good.

My question would be what bands of today would you put at the same level as those I listed?
Guns, Metallica, AC/DC, U2, Green Day.
???? Bands of TODAY. All these bands are of yesteryear. I don't mean old bands with new albums.

Saying the quality is lesser isn't intolerance...it's taste.
If you have an album today, doesn't that make you a band of today. As for the 2nd quote, I agree fully, I was only fucking with you. I hate 99.999999999% of music today, myself:peace:

Von Solo wrote:Some of us found the grunge movement and the majority of '90s alt. rock to be disposable and forgettable. What's the good old days to some is just more of the same for the rest. I don't think music's taken a downward spiral necessarily. I think it's just sucked that bad for that much longer.

Aussie wrote:So it's the first brand new album he has bought in 15 years. Either he stopped listening to any new music or simply started downloading stuff. I hope he paid for the downloads.
I remember him whingeing how people weren't buying his CD when it came out - well it doesn't sound like he has been supporting other artists during the last 15 years by buying their CD?
Good one. He definitely shot himself in the foot with that comment.
I like his enthusiasm though, and the fact he appreciates vinyl. This young generation will never realize the degradation of quality from mp3 to vinyl.
It says, he hasn't bought an ALBUM in 15 or 20 years. He didn't say anything about CDs. The only one shot in the foot was you, ASSCLOWN.:mosh: DO YOU EVEN THE REALIZE THE DIFFERENCE?
