All this nay-saying is getting old. I truly don't care how many copies it sells at this point. It's a fantastic album, and I'm so glad I have it to listen to. I'd take it over either of the Illusion records in a second.

I thought there was some validity to point #1. Point #2 was so mind-numbingly off-the-mark that I stopped reading completely.

Too busy suing Dr. Pepper? It really bothers me that *that* is what we're hearing about right now...

There are certainly a lot of shots to take at Axl at this point, and many of them have some validity to them. Me, I'm truly happy to have a great album of new songs to listen to. As much as I love Appetite, I have been hungry for new, modern music from Axl and Co. for a long time now. No matter what happens from here on out, I'm glad the record was finally released. Having no press, no Bucket, etc. is far from ideal, but it will have to be enough.

Just curious - when you say Tommy for "Riad," are you talking in terms of playing, writing, or both?
#6 Re: Guns N' Roses » NBC's Football Night In America, just played "Scraped" » 833 weeks ago
Scraped is a great song, perhaps my current favorite on the record. I'm glad it's getting some play, regardless of where that is.

Been thinking on the others, and I'd have to say:
Ron - Chinese Democracy (his work really gave new life to the song)
Pitman - If the World

GREAT thread idea. I actually have many highlights for most members but I'll list only a few members and one highlight for each:
Thanks...I thought it would be cool to see what everyone else thought (and yes, I"ll gladly accept a karma for it . Like I said, for me, Robin's solo on "Better" is his shining moment. I figured everyone else had similar ideas for each member throughout. The hard part is just picking that *one* moment for each member, isn't it?

Bucket - guitar on "Better"
Dizzy - piano on "Street of Dreams"
Brain - drums on "Shackler's"
Tommy - bass on "Street of Dreams," primarily because it's the only track that I can really hear any stand-out bass parts that don't match the rhythm guitars note for note.
#10 Re: Guns N' Roses » Brain & Frank - a question about the album credits » 833 weeks ago
That just seems so...unusual to have two different drummers playing what is essentially one drum part on a given track. I'm not at all complaining, as I love the songs and the overall sound of the record. Has anyone dissected the tracks as to who plays drums on which parts?
And thanks for the answer, by the way!
