Just shut up.
There is 'new music' and a tour next year. It's already being planned
From Slash himself, after the Serpent tour finished, he is recording a new album with the Conspirators, then Guns are in the studio
So are we talking about really new music or more Chinese leftlovers?
If it really is new music I wonder what will happen to Monsters or its B-side

Nothing, sorry.
Livenation are saying touring will resume next year, that's it
Thanks!! Seems like a very quiet year from the GNR camp, it's a shame.

Prior to all the lawsuit stuff, the latest from GN'R was all positive. There is new, the beginnings of new GN'R material that is not related to CD, there. There was also wording that some historic older material was possible. Slash is expecting this later next year. I asked though about his previous assertions that there was an album for all the post CD material that had been release, and there was no response. So, I don't know.
Interesting. What exactly is Slash expecting later next year? Them to start working on new material or a release of older material?
Or the "historic older material" is in relation to the new material they're supposed to start working on, e.g. it has to do with completing pre-NuGnR material from the mid-90s?
Slash said, they have new songs, and he's hoping for a GN'R album late next year, and they have also worked on older songs, no details on that. Separately, on another day maybe a month later, he was asked about his comments album releasing an album with the current songs, and that received no comment.
Hi Sp1at! Any update on this? Or touring plans expected for later this year?
Anything you could say would be appreciated!!
Thank you

According to Duff….a little disappointed we couldn’t squeeze out a few more singles…Monsters and Atlas Shrugged? Those are the last 2 which sound completed from the CD sessions. I am sure there are more but those 2 are firmly documented.
Has anyone noticed they don’t sell Chinese on their official site but they sell that half assed Appetite for Democracy video?
Where has he said that??

FWIW I heard for the second time on SiriusXM yesterday a DJ hinting (maybe speculating) on a GnR/Motley NA tour in 2024. Sirius has had a business relationship with GnR including a custom GnR channel and a livestream of an (I think) NYC concert, so it may be an informed take. Maybe a fall/winter Arena tour?
I think that would be strange but totally works for GNR

In my opinion The General It is not great but I don't think it's bad either, the production is horrible, the mix is something that I could but there are great parts inside of the song.
On the other hand Monsters is catchy, is agressive and has this demanding vocals that everybody wants from Axl.
All over this I also think that the songs could be better with only some changes, give more protagonism to Slash on the mix on Monsters and you have a more powerful track out there.
On The General have an Slash solo on the middle of the song, the last part is good but some lyrics out there could also benefit, too repetitive in my opinion

It's imposible as I've said before that the two clips from the same soundcheck, aren't from a song, they are clearly well structured and you can hear progression over there.
I really hope that It's Oklahoma, It would be my dream, I've always said that Oklahoma is probably the more classic gnr song since AFD

From O Globo, Axl interview, Jan 2001
"With 18 songs, the group's next album (they haven't released anything since 1993's "The Spaghetti Incident?") is a collection of songs, which in Axl's opinion are as good as "November Rain". Among them "Madagascar", included in the show on Sunday. The CD will include a tribute to John Lennon and another about child abuse"
So I'm guessing Monsters/Soul Monster(?) was written pre 2001
Also, could Elvis and the Monster of Soul be Me and my Elvis, and Soul Monster as one song. I don't know if that works
I'd say The General is the one about child abuse. I always thought it didn't have vocals at that time because when Belltrami worked on it in October of 02 it was an instrumental, but the song being about abuse & being mentioned in January of 01 suggests that it may have had lyrics at that point after all.
Maybe he just had not recorded them yet, or maybe they were already done and he just chose to take the instrumentals to Beltrami. Either way this points to the song existing in the year 2000, which is 2 years earlier than we had proof of before.
Cool. It sounds like 18 songs were done, or existed in some way at this point. I suppose if Brain joined in late 2000, that's a quick turnaround for a song.
I was actually going back to look at Oklahoma. There were sessions in 95/96, then it sounds like Axl did no more vocals until Youth joined in 98/99, then Dave Dominguez came, short stay, then Sean Beavan. There was mention somewhere that pre-CD songs will get carried forward, so I'm just interested in that sense
From those 95/96/97 sessions we know Oklahoma, Ides of March, maybe Hardskool? On the later ones and nothing more and we know Oklahoma exist only as an instrumental because of an 2000 article of Rolling Stone if I don't remember bad so maybe vocals were not put on those sessions
