#1 Re: Guns N' Roses » Slash on new GNR album: "We just haven't really got there yet" » 10 weeks ago

Key bit for me…

“in a manner that suggests they never will”

I’m just holding out for a huge leak one day

#2 Re: Guns N' Roses » Tour 25&new music » 16 weeks ago

Why can’t they just announce the record at the same time as the tour, you know, like regular bands do?

For me, it’s the thinking too much that suffocates and stunts any creative output by this band. Although, if truth be told, we all know where the fault lies with that.

I’ll go see em next year, purely on the basis it could be the last time I get the opportunity to do so. Just wish they operated on a normal playing field

‘Trying’

Beggars belief

Jarmo’s take, for what it’s worth…

“Or he just decided to use this down time from GN'R to launch his personal site, since there's nothing GN'R related happening at the moment that would interfere with it?”

Hold up…there’s a final remixed version of Monsters? If there is, can anyone hook me up? I just have what was available on leak day

The guitars sound bad ass on the cell phone clip. As much as I dig the leak, I would love to hear that version.

Same here
I like what Slash did on monsters, but I really want to hear how BH and Robin orginally did it

The guitar that can barely be distinguished in the cell phone clip sounds epic as can be.

Wonder if we’ll ever get to hear it?

There’s no way monsters is from the locker era. That’s slash 100%. Also, Robin’s work is missing from the part right after Axl’s screaming vocal section

I prefer Monsters way more than The General but fuck me both of these should have been on CD. The album needed more heavy stuff on it and this would have done the job

Absolutely. Both are superb.

Definitely hearing Slash all over Monsters
