#1 Re: Guns N' Roses » Slash - Crucify The Dead » 762 weeks ago

If anyone here has CR special edition can check this out.

Ozzy says that he wrote the melody and lyrics with the story of GNR in mind.
"it's kind of what i think happened to GNR"

Then he goes on... I often say to Slash, You know what? One day you guys are going to wake the fuck up and go 'what the fuck did we have & why did we blow it?'
VR were good, SW is a great singer but it aint GNR. there is only one GNR. You can get The Beatles backing Axl & it woudnt be the same. It's kind of taking Keith Richards out of the Stones.  In fact for a while i thought GNR were the next Stones!

So the song is about what i'd be singing to Axl if I was Slash, you know: They cant crucify you when you're dead.

I'm curious if anybody that ordered the special Classic Rock edition with the Slash album has their copy yet?

It was due to be released on 7th April from memory - just wondering how long it might take for it to make it's way down to this end of the Earth?

i ordered the CR edition from Play.com - received it today big_smile.
i think this edition is really cool!!

i dont think cornell will be able to handle the songs

you couldn't be more wrong, i saw Chris Cornell live 2 weeks ago he sang for 2hr15min with 5 min break max during the whole show. boy this guy can sing, amazing singer. he sang pleanty of songs from superunkwon and my favorite one form that album let me drown. i also saw him live around 2 years when he opened for aerosmith but this time he seemed in much better form.

since axl in his latest interview did a "great" job at keeping us interested, with regards to new music, I won't waste my time or theirs with any questions.

no point in taking this news to seriously, just azoff trying to hype up the tour.
I admire his confidence though.

i forgot the part about when he talks about new music, the way he describes it and that he might or might not release it - i am officially not interested. i wont be rushing anymore to the store to buy the vinil copy, i will download for free first and see if i like it.
