I thought since Axl's hair is short and he's a little heavier in the pic with Ice Cube that it might be from like 1995.

Axlin08 could you try to track down that article?
I wish we had more pix of Axl because we have virtually no pix of Axl from '94 to his arrest in 1998. That's a four year span of time where for us he just disappeared and it sucks.

In this interview, which seems to date around from the summer of '96, he says that the band is working on "tons" of new songs and between he, Duff and Axl there are probably 80 new songs.
He also claims that yesterday, the band "concealed" their contract. I have no clue what that means....
But I figured I'd put this up here. I love your Chinese Whispers project and anything I find that could be added to it, I'll post. You guys should make a book out of it, it's really the most complete history of GN'R post 1993 which I've ever seen, and it reads like a novel.
